Building a governed image ecosystem and proprietary photo library for the newly combined TGS
A library rebuilt for the new TGS
~500 global users · 1,600+ governed assets · 6 photoshoots
Original materials are confidential. I’m happy to walk through the work in conversation.
After the TGS and PGS merger, the combined company inherited a digital asset library with more than a thousand outdated images and a system without clear permissions, approvals or usage controls. At the same time, the new brand needed fresh photography that told an authentic, compelling story of TGS, its people, operations and capabilities. The challenge was to set strategy and governance while building a new global image ecosystem for on-brand marketing.
In 2025, I led the reorganization and governance of TGS digital asset management, powered by FotoWare. I own the strategy, permissions, approval workflows, training and governance. I also contributed to taxonomy and metadata, which a teammate led. I removed or archived several hundred legacy assets and built a tiered permissions structure defining who can view, edit or approve content.
I directed six photoshoots across headquarters, an operations facility, a data center and multiple vessels: developing briefs and shot lists, directing photographers, guiding talent and location decisions, selecting final images and overseeing retouching. New photography moves through a seven-step governed pipeline, with restricted assets and AI-generated images clearly labeled. Live training and written guidance support adoption.
FotoWare now gives roughly 500 global users access to over 1,600 governed assets. The six photoshoots produced a proprietary image library used across campaigns, tgs.com, advertising, social media, product promotions and event graphics. The governed system strengthened brand consistency and improved global access to high-quality, approved imagery.
